Due to the high demand for speech pathology services, it is sometimes difficult to promptly arrange an assessment and/or therapy for your child. Whilst waiting for services, we encourage families to use the following resources and information to better support their child’s communication skills.

Where do I start?

Speak to your GP/Paediatrician if you are concerned about their development

Have your child’s hearing assessed if they are late to talk and/or have speech sound delays

Check out these communication milestones from Speech Pathology Australia

Learn some strategies to trial at home whilst waiting to see a Speech Pathologist
