Hills District Speech Therapy is excited to offer a new group therapy service through our Occupational Therapy clinics, developed to support primary and high school-aged students.

UPDATE: We are currently taking bookings for School Holidays.

About Regulation Warriors

Our newly developed Regulation Warriors group service is a great opportunity for school-aged children to develop their understanding of emotions, why we feel them and develop tools to help them regulate in the home and school environment.

For new and current clients, it is a great way to get a head start on your regulation based goals if you are on the waitlist or yet to receive therapy. It will also provide attendees with a deeper understanding of what they are experiencing and equip them with tools to help keep themselves regulated. For those who are currently receiving weekly therapy – this group is a great opportunity to begin generalising these concepts and transferring the skills within a group setting.

Regulation Warriors Therapy Goals

The group will target the following goals:

  • Identifying and understanding a range of emotions
  • Identifying triggers in home and school environment
  • Developing strategies to help regulate self at home and at school.

When is Regulation Warriors running?

Our Regulation Warrior groups are on offer during school terms and school holidays every year for children between the ages of 10 and 15. Upcoming dates and times are regularly updated on our group therapy schedule page.

Please be aware that all new clients to HDST, including clients that have not been previously assessed by a speech pathologist, will be advised to attend a 30 minute screening consultation that will allow us to determine your child’s abilities and tailor the groups to their needs.

How much does it cost?

Upon registering your interest online, or through your therapist (for current clients), our intake team will provide you with information on the specific costs for the program. Rebates are available for clients with private health insurance and NDIS funding. Please note that payments are upfront and non-refundable.
