Rebates for speech pathology services* may be available through your private health fund (PHF), depending on your fund and level of coverage. We highly recommend that you determine your eligibility for rebates with your health fund provider prior to commencing services with Hills District Speech Therapy.
In accordance with legislation and advice from Speech Pathology Australia, clients are not permitted to claim a Medicare rebate and a private health insurance rebate for the same service. Clients are also not permitted to claim a private health insurance rebate for a session where you have also used NDIS funds. It is at the discretion of the individual paying for the service, most often the parent, to choose which rebate they are going to use to claim for a service. It is important that they advise their therapist prior to or during their session to ensure the appropriate information is included in their invoice.
*If you are planning on accessing online therapy services (telehealth) offered by Hills District Speech Therapy, please speak to your fund beforehand to determine if it can be claimed under your level of cover.
